Position Summary

Memphis Jewish Federation seeks a dynamic, relationship-driven Director of Women's Philanthropy to inspire, engage and connect women through meaningful philanthropic experiences. Working closely with volunteer

leadership, the Director will strengthen donor relationships, expand participation and cultivate the next generation of women philanthropists. The position focuses primarily on engagement, stewardship and leadership development, connecting women to Federation's mission and impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an annual Women's Philanthropy engagement and stewardship strategy and calendar.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen existing programs and introduce new initiatives that engage women of different ages, backgrounds and philanthropic interests
  • Build relationships through personalized outreach to a portfolio of 150+ women donors.
  • Identify prospective donors and create opportunities to introduce new women to Federation's mission and philanthropic priorities.
  • Lead the biennial Women's Impact signature event, working with volunteer leadership and internal teams to develop the event's vision, objectives, programming and execution.
  • Oversee Lion of Judah communications, stewardship and at least four annual programs or events;
  • Coordinate Memphis participation in the biennial International Lion of Judah Conference.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with National Women's Philanthropy and identify opportunities for Memphis donors to participate in national programming, missions and leadership experiences
  • Partner with volunteer leaders to establish priorities, develop programs and advance engagement goals.
  • Identify and cultivate emerging volunteer leaders and opportunities for meaningful involvement.
  • Oversee content development for Women's Philanthropy communications, including donor updates, event invitations, impact stories and Lion of Judah correspondence.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of five years of professional experience in nonprofit development, donor relations, community engagement, volunteer management or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with donors, volunteers and community leaders
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple programs, events and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and generations.
  • Experience developing and executing programs and events, including managing budgets, timelines and volunteer committees.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment and collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Occasional evening and weekend commitments and periodic travel are required.
