On Shabbat, January 18/19, Or Chadash Synagogue will be observing the yahrzeit of Deborah Lynn (Debbie) Friedman - perhaps the most prolific contemporary composer of Jewish music that is sung and beloved worldwide. Among the wide array of genres in which she wrote can be found liturgical, children's, just plain fun, whimsical, serious, Hebrew, and English songs. Her music will be featured during both the Erev Shabbat and Shacharit services.
